Doors of Hollywood
A door is the opening, and in the same time it’s a borderline between outer and inner. It’s the introduction to the habitat, and at the same time a point of defence. As the most often used device of the building, the door gives an additinal perspective to inner world. A material object that marks the margin between private and public, a door is available to be seen for everyone from the outside which opens to only those who are permitted. What does it tell about the dweller?
The series represents the diversity of entrances into the private buildings in the city of Hollywood, CA. It’s a prt of the final assignment for Photography classes which I attended in UCLA Extension in 2019.
